FAQs

Where is the club located?  The main club is located in the back building that is attached to the Catholic Children's Home. Our physical address is 115 Jefferson Ave., Alton, IL 62002.
 
Is the club a part of the Children's Home?  No, we have two separate objectives, we only rent from the Children's Home.
 
What type of kids do you serve?  We serve kids from all backgrounds that attend the area schools, mainly but not limited to Alton Community Unit School District #11.
 
What are the age requirements?  Youth must be ages 6-18 years old, and enrolled in school.
 
 How much does a membership cost and how long does it last? A membership cost $5 and is valid for 1 year from the date of enrollment. Most activities are included within the basic membership fee.  Memberships are kept low, so that everyone can afford to belong.
 
What is there to do? We have an air conditioned gymnasium where we conduct basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, kickball, and other physical education activitiesOur game room includes: pool table, ping pong tables, carpet ball, PlayStation2, and more.
 
Do you have computers?  We have a brand new technology center that has 10 new pc's, and a printer.  There are scheduled times for members to complete their homework assignments, and for recreation usage. 
 
Why should I join?  It's FUN, and you will make many new friends.
 
How can I volunteer?  By contacting Sandra West at 618.462.6249.  We especially need tutors in our learning center to assist with home work assistance, and we are also looking for individuals to teach computer classes.
